Alfred 4 keyboard shortcuts

Alfred is an application launcher for macOS. The program has free and paid
(Powerpack) versions. Alfred provides a quick way to finding and launching
applications and files in Mac.

Alfred 4 has 47 shortcuts and we have listed all of them below.



Basic
-----

Option + Space          Show Alfred
Down arrow              Select the next result in the list
Up arrow                Select the previous item in the list
Enter                   Action on the currently selected item
Cmd + [1 - 9]           Action on the item directly (1-9)
Cmd + O                 Open file or application in default application
Cmd + ,                 Show the Preferences Window
Option + Enter          Search the currently typed query in Spotlight
Control + Enter         Search the currently typed query in default web search
Cmd + Enter             Reveal in Finder (if the result is a local file)

Type preferences to show Alfred preferences.



Launch applications
-------------------

Type app name then press Return to launch an application.



Misc
----

Cmd + O                 Open file
=                       Start an advanced calculation (if enabled in Calculator Preferences)


Working with files and applications
-----------------------------------

~                       Navigate to home folder
/                       Navigate to your root folder
Option + Cmd + /        Go to last browsed path in the File System Navigation
Right arrow             Show list of available Actions for selected item
Fn                      Show list of available Actions for selected item
Control                 Show list of available Actions for selected item
Option + Cmd + \        Show list of available Actions for selected Finder item
Cmd + Down arrow        Browse selected folder in File System Navigation
Enter                   Enter a folder in File System Navigation
Backspace               Go one level up
Tab                     Auto complete
.                       Show hidden files in File System Navigation

Hint: You can start typing in name of a folder/file to select it

Saving clips
------------

Clipboard History and Parçacıklar features are included in Powerpack

Option + Cmd + C        Open Clipboard History viewer
Cmd + C                 Copy selected clip to current Clipboard
Cmd + S                 While in the Clipboard Viewer, save current clip as a snippet


Listening music
---------------

The iTunes Mini Player is a Powerpack feature.

These keywords must be used while the Mini Player is showing. Set up iTunes
workflows to add keywords to your default results or global hotkeys.

Control + Cmd + Enter   Show the iTunes Mini Player
Control + Cmd + Down arrow Play / Pause
Control + Cmd + Right arrow Next track
Control + Cmd + Left arrow Previous track
Cmd + Control + Up arrow Play random album
Cmd + Control + 0       ... to 5 Rate currently playing song from 0 to 5 stars
Backspace               Go up a folder in iTunes Mini Player
Cmd + R                 Reindex iTunes library
