elementary OS keyboard shortcuts

elementary OS is a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu. It closely resembles
macOS both visually and in terms of user experience. elementary OS uses
Gala as its windows manager.

elementary OS has 18 shortcuts and we have listed all of them below.



General

Note: On Windows keyboards, use Windows key instead of Cmd.

Cmd + Space             App launcher
Alt + Tab               Window switcher
Shift + Alt + Tab       Swtich windows backwards
Cmd + W                 Window overview
Cmd + A                 Window overivew (across all workspaces)
Cmd + Left arrow / Right arrow Switch workspace
Cmd + S                 Workspace overview
Cmd + 0                 New workspace
Cmd + [1 - 9]           Jump to specific workspace
Cmd + Alt + Left arrow / Right arrow Move app windows left and right between workspaces
Shift + Cmd + Left arrow / Right arrow Move window with workspace
Ctrl + Cmd + Up arrow / Down arrow Maximize / unmaximize window
Cmd + L                 Lock screen
Cmd + Left click + Move the mouse Move window
Cmd + Right click + Move the mouse Resize window
