Google Chat is a communication software focused on team chat rooms and
direct messages. Initially released on 2017, it replaced Google Hangouts.

Google Chat (iOS) has 37 shortcuts and we have listed all of them below.



Navigate between views
----------------------

Cmd + O                 Browse rooms
Cmd + I                 Create a room
/                       Search
Cmd + S                 Start a new message


Navigate the sidebar
--------------------

Cmd + K                 Quickly switch between rooms or conversations
Cmd + O                 Browse rooms
Cmd + I                 Create room
Up arrow                Open previous room or conversation
Down arrow              Open the next room or conversation
Shift + Up arrow        Go to previous unread item
Shift + Down arrow      Open next unread item
Right arrow             Select room or conversation
Enter                   Select room or conversation


Navigate conversations within a room

Up arrow                Open previous conversation
Down arrow              Open next conversation
Right arrow             Focus on message
Left arrow              Focus on current room or conversation in sidebar
Cmd + Shift + K         Focus on current room or conversation in sidebar
Cmd + G                 Open room menu
R                       Reply to current conversation
Cmd + J                 Focus on last conversation or message
Cmd + S                 Start a new thread or message


Navigating popups in Google Chat
--------------------------------

Shift + Esc             Move focus between main window and last chat popup

Not tested:

Cmd + .                 Advance to next chat popup
Cmd + ,                 Go back to previous chat popup


Navigate messages within a conversation

Up arrow                Open previous message
Down arrow              Open next message
Left arrow              Focus on conversation
Esc                     Focus on conversation
R                       Focus on reply box


Navigation

Cmd + Alt + V           Reset sidebar sections to default height


Copy a transcript of the conversation

Cmd + Shift + .         Copy selected messages as a transcript
