Kindle for Mac keyboard shortcuts

Kindle for Mac allows ebooks from Amazon's store or personal ebooks to be
read on a Mac. Therefore it doesn't require the user to have a Kindle
device.

Kindle for Mac has 49 shortcuts and we have listed all of them below.



Anywhere in the application
---------------------------

Cmd + Option + L        Open Library
Cmd + R                 Sync


Apple menu systems
------------------

Cmd + ,                 Preferences
Cmd + Q                 Quit Kindle for Mac
Cmd + W                 File: Close book
Cmd + R                 Actions: Sync and check for new items
Cmd + R                 Go: Sync to furthest page read


Library
-------

Up arrow                Move the focus to the book above the current selection
Right arrow             Move the focus of the book to the right of the current selection
Left arrow              Move the focus of the book to the left of the current selection
Down arrow              Move the focus of the book below the current selection
Page Up                 Scroll the list of books up one page (but do not change the current focus)
Page Down               Scroll the list of books down one page (but do not change the current
focus)
Enter                   Open selected book to last (go to last page read)
Cmd + O                 Open selected book to last (go to last page read)

Using Text-to-Speech
--------------------

  To use these shortcuts, you must enable Text-to-Speech first. Press "Cmd
+ T" or select the Tools menu and chose Start Text-to-Speech.

Cmd + T                 Toggle Text-to-Speech
Space                   Pause or resume reading (while in a book)
Cmd + S                 Read the current sentence
Cmd + Shift + Up arrow  Read the previous sentence
Cmd + Shift + Down arrow Skip forward one sentence
Shift + +               Increase speech rate
Shift + -               Decrease speech rate
Cmd + Shift + C         Toggle continuous reading
Cmd + I                 Text-to-Speech read instructions

  Note: This feature only works on eligible Kindle content. You can
configure the Text-to-Speech language from the System Preferences on your
computer.
