Linux MetaCity keyboard shortcuts

MetaCity is a Linux window manager. It was the default window manager used
by the GNOME 2 desktop environment until it was replaced by Mutter in GNOME
3. Metacity uses the GTK graphical widget toolkit to create its user
interface components, which makes it themeable.

Linux MetaCity has 15 shortcuts and we have listed all of them below.



Global
------

Alt + Tab               Forward cycle window focus
Alt + Shift + Tab       Backward cycle window focus
Alt + Ctrl + Tab        Forward cycle focus among panels
Alt + Ctrl + Shift + Tab Backward cycle focus among panels
Alt + Esc               Cycle window focus without a popup
Ctrl + Alt + Left arrow Previous workspace
Ctrl + Alt + Right arrow Next workspace
Ctrl + Alt + D          Minimize/unminimize all, to show desktop


Window
------

Alt + Space             Window menu
Alt + F10               Maximize
Alt + F9                Minimize
Alt + Left click        (click anywhere in the window) Send window to foreground
Left click              (click title bar) Send to foreground
Middle click            (click title bar) Send to background
Alt + F4                Close window
