Is there a way to enter a specific time so that the timeline jumps to that given time of e.g. a video.

Guest says: 24 days ago 8/31/2022 5:28 AM

This is for US ANSI and EU ISO layout:

Press left Windows key + Right Windows key. Hold for 3 seconds. The keyboard’s backlight will flash 3 times to indicate the keyboard has been reset

How can I change the volume control to the Up and Down Arrow keys?

Right now, the up/down/left/right arrow keys all do the same forward/reverse tracking.

Ideally, I would like the Mouse Scroll Wheel to adjust the volume, like VLC player does. I know the idea is to be mousless, but when watching a movie, it is way easier and better to scroll the mouse wheel, than get your hands back on the keyboard.

Just getting the up and down arrow keys to adjust the volume would be great.

I just installed MPV player for Linux Mint. All default shortcut keys work except the zoom function (ALT +) and (ALT -).
I also went into ~/.config/mpv/ but the directory is empty. Please advise.

Not sure why the developers chose to pick random keys for controls, but multimedia keys also don't work with MPV.

IMHO this application needs finishing (like MM key support and a configuration dialogue.)

I think I'll stick with VLC for now.

You are totally right. The controls for the MPV player are just horrible. If the mouse and keyboard controls were developed beyond primitive phase design, I would never use VLC again (not that I don't like it). For now, I also stay with VLC.

It is used to choose "essential" shortcuts when a program have hundreds of them. Such as this: . Shortcuts that have more than a specific point will show a star before it, too. Also a "featured shortcut" is displayed on the right column, which is most voted / shared shortcut of that program. So it's like voting the usefulness, not correctness. I'll put a "flag" feature later to report any incorrect shortcuts. It may be looking stupid on first glance and maybe I should improve it. Thank you for your comment!

Guest says in reply to Guest : 14 months ago 8/3/2021 7:55 AM
They meant it's stupid to have a voting system for something that simply is correct.

It works here, are you on VPN? It checks if your IP number listed in spam lists before registering a vote. Sometimes IPs of VPNs get listed in spam lists.

I figured how to loop a video; shift L, but I can not figure out how to shuffle. Please help?

Guest says: 19 months ago 3/6/2021 3:49 PM
why is 9/0 used for volume, am I the only one who thinks this is an odd pair of bindings

Guest says in reply to Guest : 6 months ago 3/31/2022 12:58 AM
It isn't even odd, it is ridiculous. The UP/DOWN Arrow keys for Volume Control is pretty obvious..... I thought, anyways.....

the L key seems to do an A-B Loop. Sadly, I'm looking for a regular repeat loop.

Guest says in reply to rac : 8 months ago 2/5/2022 10:14 AM
It not worked for me, so i have used multiloop.lua script like this:

Thanks man!
I've been looking for this option for a long time.

Nakrotam says in reply to rac : 24 months ago 10/7/2020 3:55 PM
Lowercase "l" is A-B looping, capital "L" toggles infinite looping of the current file. :)
