RetroArch is a frontend for emulators, game engines and media players.
RetroArch runs programs converted into dynamic libraries called libretro
cores.

RetroArch 1.16 (2023) has 47 shortcuts and we have listed all of them
below.



Gameplay
--------

Arrow keys              D-pad
Q                       L1 button
W                       R1 button
Z                       B button
X                       A button
A                       Y button
S                       X button
Shift                   Select button
Enter                   Start button


Menu
----

These keyboard shortcuts are only available when Settings > Input > Unified
menu controls is disabled (this is the default). Otherwise, only Retropad
inputs are used.

Arrow keys              Retropad input: D-pad. Action: Move cursor
Page Up                 Retropad input: L1. Action: Scroll one page up
Page Down               Retropad input: R1. Action: Scroll one page down
Backspace               Retropad input: B. Action: Return to previous screen
Enter                   Retropad input: A. Action: Select item
Del                     Retropad input: Y. Action: Scan content/Remove highlighted input bind
/                       Retropad input: X. Action: Search
Shift                   Retropad input: Select. Action: Help
Space                   Retropad input: Start. Action: Reset to default
Home                    Retropad input: Left thumb press. Action: Scroll to top
End                     Retropad input: Right thumb press. Action: Scroll to bottom


Hotkey
------

Hotkey binds can be configured at Settings → Input → 'Input Hotkey Binds'.
If you map Enable Hotkeys to a key, it will require that key to be held in
order to trigger any hotkeys.
