Snip & Sketch keyboard shortcuts

Snip & Sketch is a screenshot taking and editing tool included in Windows
10 version 1809 and later. It took the place of Snipping Tool that was
around since Windows Vista.

Snip & Sketch has 28 shortcuts and we have listed all of them below.



Global
------

Win + Shift + S         Take a screenshot of selected area (works without starting Snip & Sketch
too)

Screenshots taken by this shortcut aren't automatically saved, they're only
copied to clipboard.

To automatically save a screenshot, you can use Windows + PrintScreen
shortcut. This will save the capture in your Pictures\Screenshots folder.
This shortcut is probably not related to Snip & Sketch and capture entire
screen (instead of letting you select the area).



General

Alt + M                 Choose a snipping mode
Alt + N                 Create a new snip in the same mode as the last one
Shift + Arrow keys      Move the cursor to select from different types of snips
Alt + D                 Delay capture by 1 - 5 seconds
Alt + R                 Crop snip
Alt + I                 Select pen tool
Alt + I then Alt + I    Select pen color
Alt + H                 Highlighter
Alt + H then Alt + H    Select highlighter color
Alt + E                 Eraser
Alt + E then Alt + E    Open drop down menu with 'Select all ink'
Alt + T                 Type by touching
Alt + Z                 Zoom
Ctrl + C                Copy the snip to clipboard
Alt + C                 Copy the snip to clipboard
Ctrl + S                Save the snip
Alt + A                 Share
Alt + M                 Open the '...' menu
Ctrl + O                Open file
Ctrl + P                Print
Ctrl + Z                Undo
Alt + U                 Undo
Ctrl + Y                Redo
Alt + D                 Redo
Alt + F4                Exit (asks to save changes)
