Learning The Sims 4 hotkeys is a must, for a good Sims player. But if you're somewhat new to The Sims, these keys will not only make selecting tools easier, they also may teach you some features you didn't know before.

7	Ctrl + ↑ Shift + Tab	Change camera type
4	V	Record video

-4	Home	Walls up
3	End	Walls down
-3	Page Up	Go up a floor
0	Page Down	Go down a floor
2		(on Sim picture) Make Camera follow that Sim
9	+	Rotate view or tilt camera up/down to change angles
8	Z	Zoom in and out

Access cheat console

When you remove objects in buy or build mode, you'll get some of your money back. Objects removed by placing a room on top of it or in any other way can be found in your Household Inventory.
3	F2	Buy mode
23	Num +	After selecting an object but before placing it, pressing + on the num pad will cycle through color options for that item, allowing you to find what looks right for that room
5	Backspace	Press while holding an object to place it in the Household inventory. Good for storing multiple things fast
5	.	Rotate selected object right
7	Alt	While holding an object, this allows you to position it anywhere as opposed to on the Grid
12	F5	This will let you position objects relative to the grid, but at 1/2 to 1/4 the usual distance. Good for precision
7	Control + F	While laying floor, do 1/4 of a tile at a time (little triangle) for artsy design
12	Del	Delete or sell selected object

Cheats are not hotkeys, but we included them if you think Sims die too quickly or everyting is too expensive.
10	Ctrl + ↑ Shift + C	Show the cheat console, so you can enter cheat texts below
7	↑ Shift + ]	Increases the size of objects

There needs to be a way to disable some of these. My keyboard is jacked up, and constantly wants to spam the up key, which can be a problem when playing.
