Windows XP is an operating system developed by Microsoft. It was released
in October 25, 2001. With increased performance and stability, an easier
user interface, improved hardware support, Windows XP received positive
reviews upon its release. Mainstream support for Windows XP ended on April
14, 2009. Extended support ended on April 8, 2014.



Windows logo shortcuts
----------------------

These shortcuts involve using Windows key on your keyboard. They're usually
globally available, meaning you may use them no matter what program is
currently active.

Win                     Open / Close the Start menu
Win + R                 Open the Run dialog box
Win + Shift + M         Restore minimized windows
Win + F                 Search for a file or a folder
Ctrl + Win + F          Search for computers
Win + U                 Open Utility Manager
Win + F1                Display Windows Help


General
-------

These shortcuts can be used when editing text or when working with any type
of items. Windows XP and many programs support them.

Ctrl + V                Paste
Del                     Delete
Ctrl + F4               Close active document or tab in a program
Alt + Tab               Switch between open programs in taskbar
F4                      Display the Address bar list in My Computer or Windows Explorer
Shift + F10             Display the shortcut menu for the selected item


Windows Explorer
----------------

Backspace               Open a folder one level up if a folder is selected in the Save As or Open
dialog box
Ctrl + V                Paste
Del                     Delete (by default, will move items to Recycle Bin)
Shift + Del             Delete selected item permanently without placing the item in the Recycle
Bin.
F5                      Refresh the active window
F4                      Display the Address bar list


Accessibility

Right Shift             (hold for 8 seconds) Switch FilterKeys either on or off
