Xfce keyboard shortcuts

Xfce is a desktop environment for Linux. It aims to be fast and visually
appealing. Like Gnome, Xfce is based on the GTK toolkit but it is not a
Gnome fork. It uses mouse-driven Xfwm window manager.

Xfce has 55 shortcuts and we have listed all of them below.



Window manipulation
-------------------

Alt + Space             Window operations menu
Esc                     Dismiss/cancel dialog
Alt + Tab               Switch to next window
Shift + Alt + Tab       Switch to previous window
Super + Tab             Next window of current application
Alt + F4                Close window
Alt + F7                Move window
Alt + F8                Resize window
Alt + F9                Hide window
Alt + F10               Maximize window
Alt + Shift + Page Down Raise/lower window
Alt + F11               Toggle fullscreen
Alt + F12               Toggle above
Ctrl + Alt + D          Show desktop


Move window to workplace
------------------------

Alt + F6                Stick window (show in all workspace)
Alt + F5                Maximize window horizontally
Ctrl + Alt + End        Move window to next workspace
Ctrl + Alt + Home       Move window to previous workspace
Ctrl + Alt + Num 1      Move window to workspace 1
Ctrl + Alt + Num 2      Move window to workspace 2


Switching workspace

Ctrl + F1               … to F9: Switch to workspace 1-9
Ctrl + Alt + Left arrow / Right arrow Next/Previous workspace
Ctrl + Alt + Up arrow   Upper workspace
Ctrl + Alt + Down arrow Bottom workspace
Ctrl + Alt + Left arrow Left workspace
Ctrl + Alt + Right arrow Right workspace
Ctrl + F1               Go to workspace 1

Mouse wheel
-----------

Wheel up and wheel down Hover your mouse over the taskbar, then scroll mouse wheel to cycle
windows.
