Windows Vista 以降では、キーボードで直接マインスイーパーをプレイできます。矢印キーでカーソルを移動したり、以下のショートカットを使用できます。
Windows XP 以前のバージョンでは、アクセシビリティオプションでマウスキーを有効にする必要があります。マウスキーが有効になっている場合は、テンキーを使用して移動します。
2	← ↑ → ← ↓ →	カーソルを1マスずつ移動します
2	⤶ Enter	クリック四角形として使用
1	or Space
0	1	フラグを追加
1	↑ Shift + ⤶ Enter	コード（中クリックと同じ）
0	or ↑ Shift + Space
0	F2	新しいゲームを始める
0	Alt	メニューを見る

0	+ + Esc	両方のマウスボタンを放すと時計が止まります
Windows Vista以前のみ: xyzzyと入力してシフト+入力画面の左上隅のピクセルが白くなり、マウスを地雷の上に移動すると黒に変わります。
