The LCD have 11 different levels of brightness.

To automatically disable touchpad when an external USB mouse is connected, go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad and disable the option "Leave touchpad on when a mouse is connected"
Note: The initialization of touchpad device may take 1-2 seconds.
