I accidentally pressed Ctrl+J (rather than Y). Emails gone! What is Ctrl+J as I can't see this on the list!
Fortunately I have these emails forwarded to another email address so they are not unrecoverable.

For those coming to this comment like me after seeing all mails in Evolution vanish, the solution is:

1. Click View => Show Junk Messages
2. CTRL+A (to select all) => Shift + CTRL + J (mark messages as Not Junk)
