Android keyboard shortcuts

Android is a touch centric operating system, but when you connect a keyboard to your smartphone or tablet, it supports some keyboard shortcuts out of the box. They aren't going to remove the need to use touchscreen, but they're perfectly useful for basic tasks.

Search page

Say "Ok Google" to start voice search.
Alt + ⭾ Tab

Switch between tasks

Delete the character to the right of the cursor

Delete an entire line

↑   Shift then ↑   Shift

Activate caps-lock; press Shift once more to exit

Move cursor to beginning of line

Move cursor to end of line

Highlight text for cutting or copying

Context menu key + X

Cut text (will cut all text on-screen unless specific characters are highlighted)

Context menu key + C

Copy text to clipboard (will copy all text on-screen unless specific characters are highlighted)

Context menu key + V

Paste text from clipboard

Context menu key + A

Select all text in the current field

Space

Go to next page in any web page or document

↑   Shift + Space

Go to previous page in any web page or document

Context menu key + I

Zoom in

Context menu key + O

Zoom out

Context menu key + J

Go back a page

Context menu key + K

Go forward a page

Context menu key + R

Refresh current page

Context menu key + F

Find on page
