what I did was, I WENT TO a shop which had brand new screens and tricked them into fixing one on just to check it out, when they did I quickly turned on USB debugging. But there is still an issue when I connect it to the PC because it won't pair.

I ended up doing an entire mapping of keyboard commands to enable assistive speech settings so I could navigate using the keyboard without seeing the screen.

What did you find for the keyboard shortcut to open Settings? I have the same issue and you may be my only hope.

Thanks in advance!

Android 4.4.2 KitKat. But I will take any suggestions.

I don't believe there is a standard keyboard shortcut to access/launch Settings on Android 4.x but I am looking for any keyboard shortcut combination suggestions that you might have to open Settings.

Thank you!

how to close application

1. First win + enter to see running apps
2. Scroll to the app with arrow keys or tab. They behave a little different, e.g. with arrows I had to go down from search field with arrow down and then select app with left/right arrow
3. Delete
